What are DFDS cabins like?

Can you take your own food on a ferry?
Most ferry operators allow passengers to bring their own food and drink onboard, provided it is stored in a cool bag or container. However, there may be some restrictions on what can be brought onboard, so it is always best to check with the ferry operator before travelling. Some ferry operators also have their own cafes and restaurants onboard, so passengers may not need to bring their own food. In addition, many ferry terminals have a wide range of cafes and shops, so passengers can buy food before they board the ferry.

1. Ferries to Norway
The voyage on our ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo provides the most convenient connection possible between these two main cities in Scandinavia. The city centre can easily be reached by foot or by public transportation from our dock in Oslo.
Alternately, you might visit Sweden, which is only a three-hour drive away, or you could travel to Norway, which is home to the world-famous Fjords.
2. Ferries to Denmark
The trip on a ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen is the most convenient way to get to the Danish capital city of Copenhagen. From this location, you can start your exploration of Denmark, travel into Sweden, or head south to the continent of Europe.
Our Danish port is only three and a half hours away from the German border, and countries such as Holland, Belgium, and even further are just a drive away.
3. Ferries to the Baltics
They have three different routes for you to choose from if you live in or travel around the Baltic region and Scandinavia.
In addition to sailings from Karlshamn to Klaipeda and Kapellskar to Paldiski, the Kiel-Klaipeda route is another one of our Baltic Sea ferry crossings. This route connects northern Germany with Lithuania.
